E3 2018: Biggest announcements from Microsoft for Xbox

On Sunday this weekend, on the 10th, Microsoft hosted the pre-E3 2018 conference. It was a great event, where the company announced many new titles and popular and renowned franchises that will return to the console with exclusivity. In total there were 50 games, 18 of them exclusive and 15 world premieres!

The biggest highlights were: the new Halo , which promises to be the greatest adventure of Master Chief; a new game from the Gears of War series ; the revelation of Devil May Cry 5and the new game set in the same world as Life is Strange called The Awesome Adventure of Captain Spirit by Dontnod.

In addition, some games that had already been revealed with new features, such as Battlefield V , Forza Horizon 4 , Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, Dying Light 2, Just Cause 4, Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 and Shadow of the Tomb Rider , had new trailers and details revealed. Finally, see the whole list of Microsoft news:


One of Microsoft’s best-known franchises, Halo Infinite was confirmed on the 10th, for Xbox One and Windows 10. There is not much information yet about the game, but a small trailer was released at the conference. It is being designed by 343 Industries.

Kingdom Hearts III

A new trailer for Kingdom Hearts 3 has also been released. In it, appear Olaf and Elsa, characters of the Frozen animation. One of the lands will be the scene of the film, and in the trailer we see the character Sora and his friends, mingling with the world of animation. The game will come to PS4 and Xbox One on January 29, 2019, a fact that marks the first time of the franchise on an Xbox One console.

Ori and the Will of the Wisps

This cute and lovely game returns with a sequel and wins a teaser trailer, although not having gained more details in addition. The game is a continuation of Ori and the Blind Forest, a visually beautiful adventure that accompanies Ori, a guardian spirit, and Sein, who acts as Ori’s guide. Announced last year, the game is now being released for Xbox One and Windows 10.

Fallout 76

One of the big pre-E3 revelations was Fallout 76, which revealed its look for the first time. The game is about a prequel to the post-apocalyptic series, this time set in the hills of West Virginia. Todd Howard commented that Fallout 76 will be four times bigger than Fallout 4. In the trailer released, we see a world being rebuilt after the bombs have fallen. The dates have not yet been released.

Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice

Sekiro had already been commented on last year’s Game Awards. It is the next game of Dark Souls and developed by From Software. With a more Asian scene, it is expected a style that is the face of the developer: gothic with brutal combats and difficulty in punishing. The game will only arrive in 2019, for Xbox One, PS4 and PC.

The Awesome Adventures of Captain Spirit

This title takes place in the same world as Life is Strange, but it is not a continuation. It’s a spinoff with a simple, everyday story you can see in the trailer. It is close, because June 26 is its launch.

Forza Horizon 4

Forza Horizon 4 will be in the interior of Great Britain, and is the most relaxed of the series, being that this is an arcade pilot. In it, you can drive expensive and fast cars, exploring the places. Developed by Playground Games, it is scheduled to arrive on October 2 for Xbox One and Pc.

Tom Clacy’s The Division 2

Already announced before, The Division 2 won images of the survival shooter online, this time. On March 15 of next year the game is expected to be released. At the conference was announced a trailer and a demo of the game, check it out.

Gears 5

In constant growth, Gears of War had a game revealed by Microsoft, Gears 5. And not only that, but also revealed a mobile game in partnership with Funko Pop, and even a turn based strategy game for PC. Only next year will they be appreciated.

Devil May Cry 4

After 10 years of Devil May Cry 4, the sequence finally arrived, announced by Capcom. The sequel brings the original characters and the same plot of the 2010 title. Also, another good news is that the longtime director of the series is also back, Hideaki Itsuno will lead the new title. Nero and Dante, the family of demon hunters, will appear on Devil May Cry 5. The game comes to PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 in 2019.

Just Cause 4

Revealed by Square Enix on Sunday, Just Cause 4 is being built and according to the trailer reported, it will be quite chaotic and intense, and full of tornadoes. Scheduled to be released for PC, PS4 and Xbox One on December 4 of that year.


Microsoft also unveiled a new Battletoads, saying the game is still under construction, but demonstrates cool and cute graphics in a cooperative mode. The information came from a brief trailer, but what is known is that it can be played by three people and will arrive in 2019, only. Recalling that the original game was created in 1991, and remained untouched for nearly two decades.

Cyberpunk 2077

The game had a new trailer released at the conference, and pleased many. Whoever played the game was CD Projekt Red, creator of The Witcher 3. It’s been a while since a teaser was released, but only now that the trailer has been released, with little information but with a new world that looks very good.

Jump Force

For those who love anime, this is the game. Jump Force is nothing more than a mashup of Dragonball, Naruto, One Piece and Death Note. Bandai Namco decided to mix the worlds into an all-star brawler. It is expected to arrive next year, but it is unknown for which consoles.
