Treyarch talks about Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is an experiment
As part of the first day on the exhibition floor of E3 2018 , our team asked Dan Bunting, co-director of Treyarch , if Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 was an experiment, with rumors about the return to Modern Warfare in mind. 2019 , as well as the multiple changes that this sequel holds with respect to the rest of the franchise, to which the developer responded as follows:
” Black Ops 4 is a celebration of everything we have done, as a Treyarch studio, through the entire Black Ops series . We have a certain community that knows our games very well […] Call of Duty is a very large franchise. and Black Ops, as a sub component of that franchise, even has its own fans, we are very much in tune with knowing everything our fans love about our games, so I would say that Black Ops 4 is a celebration of all that and we are focusing, first of all, to create gaming experiences that you can have with your friends in a social way, we really want this game to be built, from scratch, to play with your friends for a long time. “
As often happens in these instances, the answer has an undeniable evasive nuance and it remains in each fan, the responsibility to draw their own conclusions, the fact is that Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 lacks campaign and, instead, introduces mode battle royale , under the name Blackout (Blackout), 3 zombie experiences plus the traditional and successful multiplayer.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 will debut on October 12 on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
